1. DEFINITION

Event – accident which resulted in death or injury to the body, produced during the working process or while achieving work duties, a missing person case or traffic accident in circumstances involving employees, dangerous incidents, such as occupational desease; work related accident– violent injury of the body, acute occupational poisoning occurred during work and resulting in temporary inability to work of at least three days disability or death;

 

2. CLASSIFICATION – work related accidents are classified in (art. 31):

 

  •  with temporary work inability, at least three working days
  •  disability
  •  death
  •  collective, at least three victims from the same cause

 

3. EVENTS COMMUNICATION, INQUIRY, REGISTRATION AND REPORT

 

A. Who has the obligation to communicate the work related accident/ event?

Anyone who has seen or heard it happen;

B. To whom do you report?

To your superior and HR department;

C. When do you communicate the accident/ event?

 

Immediately after it happened

 

Any event must be communicated to the Local Inspectorate of Work by the Health and Safety Service.

 

D. Who inquires the work related accident/ event?

 

With temporary work inability, at least three working days

 

  •  The employer responsible for the occurrence of the accident. For example, this job will be done, if it’s the case, by HR and Health and Safety Service With disability or death
  •  The Local Inspectorate of Work

 

Collective accidents, at least three victims from the same cause

 

  •  The Ministry of Labor, Family and Equal Opportunity

 

4. THE EMPLOYEE’S RIGHTS IN CASE OF WORK RELATED ACCIDENTS

 

Are established by law – L 346/2002 of work related accidents and professional disease insurance

 

  •  Sick leave up to 270 days/year
  •  Free medical services
  •  Free prothesis if necessary, etc
